2010 Camaro First Impressions

I saw my first 2010 Camaro in an Avis parking lot and it looked pretty cool. I saw my second 2010 Camaro at the Carowinds Father's Day car show and it was a silver SS and it was pretty impressive.

Just added the car show calendar

After messing around with the date module, that includes the calendar modules, the Car Show Calendar is now up and running. It has all the car shows that have been added since the site upgrade so take a look and find a car show near you to go to. Support your local car enthusiasts and show them how much you love their cars.

Carolina Motor Madness 2009 Update

Carolina Motor Madness 2009 was a wonderful car show. It was the third year of the car show and despite the lull in the economy more than 150 cars showed up for the event. It was a perfect warm sunny day after a week of rain and clouds. The Tega Cay Lions brought out a good group of vendors and Muscle Car Society is proud to be one of them.

This year we brought the Muscle Car Society Car Girls to the show and they were a hit. We got pictures of them with some of the awesome cars at Carolina Motor Madness 2009. James from Carolina Model Services taking the pictures. He did a wonderful job as did all the car girls!

We ran into Steve from Koss Motorsports at the show and will be working with him in the future to bring better car show coverage to the events we attend. Koss Motorsports makes it to 50-60 car shows a year. You need to check them out. Steve is a great guy.

We ran into Allen “Big Al” Eckman from Fuel TV and even were featured in his show 06-07-2009. He is a blast to be around and totally full of energy. We look forward to working with him in the future.

Steve is working really hard to make next year's Carolina Motor Madness even better than it has been and we are going to work with him and the Tega Cay Lions to make sure it is.

Carolina Motor Madness 2009

Carolina Motor Madness 2009 was a success. The weather was beautiful and so were the muscle cars.

We had 8 car girls at the show and everyone loved them. We have lots of pictures including the biki shots! by James with Carolina Model Services

Can't Wait for Carolina Motor Madness Car Show

It has been raining all week nonstop and it is supposed to be sunny and hot all day tomorrow so the Carolina Motor Madness car show will hopefully happen.

Site upgrade and new features

So I recently upgraded the site to Drupal 6x and now I am in the process of adding some features so users can have more fun while on the site.

I am adding a user points system so users can earn points when they comment, log in and post to the site. Hopefully this will be a fun way to reward user contributions since that is what the site is all about.

Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction

I watched a Barrett Jackson show last night and it had the weirdest cars and other vehicles that you could imagine for auction and people actually paid money for them.

Wrecks to Riches - Christine the Camaro

I just caught the show Wrecks to Riches on DiscoveryHD. It was a pretty cool episode about rebuilding a 69 Camaro. The Camaro was called Christine and was "cursed". They put a blower on the motor to get 550HP. The silver and black stripe paint job looked great. The rebuild cost Barry $45,000. Sold for $56,500.

The commentary was a little cheesy and over the top.

Good show though.
