In August 2003 Pat became the 3rd owner of this lemans blue 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that had only 27,088 original miles. The car was all original when he bought it except for a few screws. It is an original side pipe car with a 350 c.i. 4 bolt main with double hump heads, an Edelbrock manifold, moderate cam and factory AC. A Turbo 400 transmission connects to 3.08 gears in the rear.
Pat's Corvette still had the white factory grease in the front suspension when he found it.In the disco era the second owner painted it a bass boat glitter blue but Pat had it media blasted to remove the paint down to the gel coat and then repainted the base coat and clear coat in his garage.
This Corvette has been completely restored but the body was not taken off the frame because it was so clean under the body that the factory paint was still on the frame along with the grease pencil marks from the factory. He rebuilt both the front and rear suspension. The bright blue interior is all orginal expect the seat covers and the carpet which were rotted out when Pat purchased it.
All the guages work except the clock which is hit or miss. All the interior lights work including the fiber optic lights in the console. This corvette rides really nice.
