I purchased it from a friend about 20 or so tears ago. It was primer black/orange. I decided to restore the whole cat inside and out about 12 years ago. It took alot of time and alot of $$$. The paint job you see in the picture here is the same paint job done 10 years ago. I race it at Carlsbad Raceway before it closed alot. its best time was a 12.96 at 106 mph in the 1/4 mile. I also race it at Qualcomm Stadium at Street Legal. and now I am racing at Barona. Most all the car has been restored to original. there is a few interior parts that are originall but need to be replaced. I love this car. It's a bad car for a 302 cid. Chris

Yes, that is the matching color code for my car. It is a corvette color and only a limited amount of camaro's were painted that color. Thanks for the compliments. I've owned the car for 20 years and bought it from the second owner which is my friend.
I'm not ready to part with it yet. You can e-mail me anytime. I built the car from the ground up but let a professional do the body and paint work. The car was completly taken apart and painted and that took a year. Lots of blood sweat and tears and of course MONEY!

Question on 1968 Z28 RS

My husband and I have been searching for information on this car. My husband purchased the car in high school in 1970 and is the 3rd owner. It is all original and has 43,000 miles. It is the British Racing green with the white stripes, hide-away headlights, black and white houndstooth check interior and has a 302...where can we find more information on this as to how many were made and what it is worth? Any help is appreciated!

Origin 68 Z28/RS Green

Hi,
I worked as a salesman for my home town Chevy dealer in Northern CA.(1968-69).While I worked their I owned a 1968 Z28, Rally Sport British Green with very rare ivory houndstooth interior(*Ivory with black & white cloth houndstooth inserts.
If you think this might be your car contact me and I can give you more information.

*Only 3% of Camaros had this interior.

Yes that is the original color for the color code on car. theymade 100 Z28 camaro starting in 1968 a British Green which was a Corvette Color. The code on car is "ZZ". This car just happen to be one of them. It's not for sale now, but maybe one day, who know. The paint job was very expensive, and afte 13 years it still looks as good as the day painted. All the seats are done in original Z28 seats. most of the car is all original. Thanks for asking. Chris

well, first you should all the codes to see if it is a true Z28. you can find that information on the internet, The hide-away headlights says its a RS, but unsure of Z@*, The made 100 + 1968 , 1969 Z28 a Corvette color which was British green, the code on your car will have a "ZZ" if thats the color it should be. It may or may not be a Z28, but just your codes. The interiour for the 1968 is allblack with a Z28 in chrome on front of seats. I don't think the Z29 had checkered seats. Go to a search engine and put in "codes for a Z28 RS camaro." thanks!

Awesome car

I use to own a Camaro just like it and have hated yself ever since I traded it off. You should hang on to it.

mean machine

What is great about muscles cars when it is restored is it brings great memories during the 60's to 70's. The car itself looks genuinely fine with its look, and of course the power of the engine is incredible. Today's modern cars are very complicated they need a lot of mods to make the car look like sitting on the ground. It needs Lowering Kit and other suspension mods for the handling as well.
