I 'm from Cyprus (Greece) and i bought my El Camino last year (October 2008) from a private owner in Oklahoma. The engine is brand new (only 1135 m). all the engine parts are brand new. The paint is custom and that make me to be extra careful with the car. Can't find the same paint here!! I have it only for the weekends and is the only one in the country!!

Australian muscle
First off let me say it's good to see a muscle car fan and owner in cyprus/greece, it's a very rare thing indeed. I need some help with something, maybe you can help clear things up for me. I have heard legends that back in the 70s and 80s greek/cyprus who lived in australia would often bring back with them their cars when they remigrated back to cyprus due to the right hand drive steering, but found imposible to keep due to the countries heavy tax laws on V8's, I was wondering if you can confirm this for me, and if so are any of these cars still locateable in cyprus, via auto wrekers or collectors or private owners. The reason I ask is that I am in australia at the moment and considering getting a australian muscle car project under way in greece when I return in the future and am hopeing to locate a 70s ford falcon. I know this sounds like a strech but I have seen in greece when I was last there these types of fords (only one actualy) so any info you can give would be very much appreciated. Thank you and congrats on your El Camino.
