Dandy Dick Landy, the N.H.R.A. Legend and Stock Car and Funny Car champion, once raced a jet plane at the Brockton Air Port Back in the early 70's in this 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona and won the race because the deal was the one that could go the fastest ON THE GROUND wins. Dandy Dick was said to be traveling well over 150 M.P.H. and the plane couldn't stay on the ground.

The ONLY modifaction this car has ever had was a terrible coat of Maaco paint sprayed on in 1972 to cover up the origional Brockton Dodge billboard lettering installed back in 1969.

For many years my 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona was on display ay Newport Auto Musuem. After about 12 years there I brought it to a couple of Mopar shows and then back on display in Boston for about 5 years and then I washed it and put it away in 1992 until I had it brought to me in Florida to have it Retire with me.

I still havent washed my 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona or driven it since 1992 more than a mile. She has NEVER been Registered or Titled..NEVER. I am in possesion of the Manufacturer's Statement Of Origin To A Motor Vehicle and the I.B.M. Card for 1969 Charger Dealer New Car Sales Report. I have Belonged to the Winged Warriors Group for Many Years.
