There will be NO COST to the driver to display their vehicle, however, any passengers that come with will be charged $5, which will be the entry fee for those coming to see the show. Donations will be greatly accepted and credit will be given. If you would care to participate, please email me at FAMU.FSU.SAE@gmail.com with the year, make and model of your vehicle, a picture (if possible), any modifications and or details you wish to share. This information will be used to group the vehicles together and to help attract people to come and see the show! If you could please pass this information along to anyone who might be interested, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if you have any suggestions as to where to hold this event or regarding the setup of the event, it would be greatly appreciated since I am fairly new to this.

Charity:

The FAMU/FSU Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is a joint chapter between Florida A&M
University and Florida State University that allows to students who have an interest in automobiles to put what they are learning into practice. SAE is an amazing organization in that it is one of the few where you actually go about designing and building things similar to how you would at a company. There are several competitions we can chose from, and in the past it has usually been the Baja competition (off-road) and the Formula competition (Formula 1-like). In order to compete in these competitions, we have to design a vehicle frame, suspension and component layouts to meet the specifications provided. We then are required to do structural analysis and then actually build the car, which will serve as a prototype for a pretend company, who will rank us based on design, ease of production, and performance. This year we will be competing in Rochester, NY and we are trying to raise money to get there, finish buying the rest of our parts for this year and start raising money for a head start next year. We appreciate your support in advance!
