Edelbrock was born out of a great mechanic's desire for more performance from an intake manifold in 1938. The "Slingshot" manifold that Vic Edelbrock Sr. created out of aluminum was a dual carburetor 180° manifold for his 1932 Ford flathead roadster. That first Edelbrock manifold helped Vic Sr. when races at Muroc Dry Lake at speeds of 112 miles per hour.

At the Carolina Motor Madness car show this weekend I saw more Mopar muscle cars than last year. I met a mechanic named Tommy with a great 360 Duster and wanted to see what the options are when searching for a Mopar crate motor. I was searching for Camaro body parts online today and I checked out the top three links in Google. It was a very mixed bag of results. The first shop Eckler's Camaro site loaded fast and has a very clean look but when you click on the links for the Camaro parts you don't get any real information about the part. I was hoping that I would see a little more detail when I clicked on the link than just a bigger picture and add to cart button. So eventhough the site was clean and quick it did not keep my interest.
