2010 Camaro First Impressions

I saw my first 2010 Camaro in an Avis parking lot and it looked pretty cool. I saw my second 2010 Camaro at the Carowinds Father's Day car show and it was a silver SS and it was pretty impressive. I did not like that they covered the engine in a plastic shroud like a Mercedes. The Camaro is supposed to be a Muscle Car! The people who want to own a Muscle Car love the engine and want to show it off not hide it under plastic. The other issue I have the new 2010 Camaro is that price. I just went to the "Build Your Own" section of the Camaro site and it cost me $44,250 for the Camaro I want. That does not even include all the bogus costs that the dealer will tack on. They took a great idea and priced it right out of reach for the mass market. I can buy a rust free daily driver '69 Camaro for less than $20,000 and have the real deal original Holyfield in my garage. Why would I pay more than twice that much for the new one?

2010 Camaro

I've warmed up to them. I'm still not a fan of the interior; too GMish.

But overall an impressive package; more than a match for the Mustang.

The plastic shroud on the

The plastic shroud on the engine would have bugged me too.

2010 Camero

I have seen a few of the new 2010 Camaro's running around town. I think they are the best looking Camaro since the Z28 of the late 70's.

I saw pics of 2010 camaro it's show is fantastic.Chevy is casting the new Camaro as a modernist sports coupe rather than a revisionist pony car, and its case holds some water. That argument is backed up with an EPA highway fuel-economy rating of 29 mpg, which is 6 mpg higher than the similarly powerful Mustang GT, and 3 mpg higher than the ratings for the Infiniti G37 and BMW 335i.

I like it

I like it. I agree it took a little while to warm up to.

Overall I think the 2010

Overall I think the 2010 Camaro looks pretty good. I kind of like how they cleaned up the engine bay with a little plastic cover, looks a lot neater. The big three are doing that with all their muscle cars, even the Mustang has a really clean engine bay. The only thing I don't like is the bulky ground effects on some of them. I just like the plain body with the twin pipes out the back. I hate those square bulky tips.

I've seen two on the road but mostly it's in car dealerships. I saw a white one at a dealership and I thought that it looked really nice. I'm not a fan of the plastic engine covers or the price tag though. Not a bad start for the Camaro.

Camaro

The 2010 Camaro is a great car and i think it worth 40k

Love it - Love it - Love it

I think Chevy did a great job and i would purchase one in a heartbeat but I do agree with "chronosafe" The interior wasn't the best choice

This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and
needs to be appreciated by everyone.

2010 Camaro

I think that Chevrolet has done a great job on this car, making it a modern muscle car, while retaining just enough of the 1969 model year to keep the old guys like me loving this car.

Great muscle cars

When it comes to muscle cars I really enjoyed the new 2010 camaro. My good friend who I have known for a couple years actually just bought a brand new Camaro right from the factory and let me tell you after riding in that car and seeing how the acceleration just pushes you back into the seat i was not to worried about the cost. i was more worried about the wow factor. And boy did I say wow after that ride.
