The Most Righteous Ride on the Internet
Auto lovers across the country agree that the most righteous ride was originally built somewhere between 1967 and 1970. But that's about as far as the agreement goes. At least that's what the standings at mostrighteousride.com indicate.
The Most Righteous Ride site is at once a shrine and a battleground. It is a virtual haven of images representing several generations of stock and custom automobiles. From a fully restored 1949 Lincoln Hot Rod to a 1998 Bentley Continental and a 1931 Ford A in showroom condition to a 2007 Maserati MC12, this gratuitous assortment of automobiles is. Then there are, of course, more Chevys, Fords and Mopars than you can shake a stick shift at. Which is where the battle truly heats up.
Upon passing through the gates of automobile heaven, visitors to The Most Righteous Ride site are presented with two images of two different automobiles. One could be a 1967 GTO Convertible, the other a 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago. But that's just one example. The combinations are truly endless. Of the two images, users choose the one they deem most righteous. When they do the other car is immediately struck down by flames from above.Users can also upload images of their own favorite ride, for it to be pitted against one randomly selected ride from the database of rides before their ride joins the long line of rides waiting to be judged, and will begin randomly showing up in trials where other users can honor or condemn it.
On the day of this writing, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is winning for the day while a 1970 Barracuda AAR is, for the moment, the all Time Most Righteous Ride on the Internet. A status that is guaranteed to change as more and more rides enter the trial.
This fun "car war in the sky" was initiated by Red Kap, a popular brand of workwear among those in the automotive industry. Known for their comfortable, long-lasting workwear and slogan, "Done Right," Red Kap created this ongoing contest in celebration of cars done right.
