427 Chevelle

Does anyone know how many, if any, Chevelle's got a factory 427. From what I understand there weren't any, but there were some dealer installs.

I tried to keep the car as low key as possible. Unlike most people I didn't want to put flashy Super Sport badges on my car or advertise that there was anything other than a small block hiding under my hood. My Chevelle had no flashy rims or wide meats sticking out of the back wheel wells, just the stock looking rims and a set of Mickey Thompson cheater slicks that might just give a hint to what this car was up to.
